Net Framework 3.5 Wont Install Windows 10

I've been having this problem for some time now mostly with videogames requiring it to play. When I try to install it it says it will download the needed files from Windows Update and it ends up not being able to find them. 'Windows couldn't find the required files to complete the requested changes. Make sure you're connected to Internet (which I am), and try again. Error Code: 0x800F081F'
Most sollutions I find ask me to insert the windows software CD, but I don't have one since my PC came with windows 10 on it.
What should I do?

I have tried to install Framework 3.5 several different times, and ways. I am using Windows 10 with all updates installed. I have tried installing it directly from the app that wants it - it freezes on 'Searching for required files'.
